Bear Facts

What is Bear Facts?

Bear Facts is a web-based computer system that provides Berkeley students and staff access to information regarding registration status, grades, financial aid, billing, class schedule, and more.

What are the hours of Bear Facts?

Bear Facts is always available except for occasional maintenance downtime. Address changes can only be done from 8:00 AM to 12 midnight, Monday through Friday.

Who is eligible to use Bear Facts?

Current students, students eligible to register for the next semester, and students registered for the previous semester can use Bear Facts. Staff who provide services to students can submit an application to have access to student information. Staff can contact the Office of the Registrar for more details.

How to use Bear Facts?

Students log onto Bear Facts by using a Student ID number and a passphrase, and staff must use a staff ID to gain access. Once you are in the system, you can navigate through a series of screens to find the information you need.

How current is the information?

Bear Facts is updated every night with information from the student database. The student database is also updated nightly with any address changes made on Bear Facts.

Can students make any changes to their records on Bear Facts?

Currently, changes in address and telephone numbers can be made. Address changes made on Bear Facts automatically update the student database system. A separate address change form is no longer needed.
