Class Scheduling System

Uses the Course Approval System, previous year's classes, and online user input to set up course offerings for a term. The system assigns rooms to classes using a multi-pass sorting algorithm; keeps track of time, room, instructor, units, credit code, etc.; produces the Schedule of Classes; schedules final exams; produces the Schedule of Final Exams; and maintains room information including such details as lab, computer, video and TV facilities. CLASS is integrated with other database systems, such as the Course Approval, Room Reservation, Tele-BEARS, and OLADS. All departments use this system with the Scheduling Section of the Office of the Registrar as the main user.
