Since April 2016, the Academic Senate Advisory Committee to SIS (ASAC) has been regularly convened to provide input and guidance on faculty needs and perspectives to the Student Information Systems (SIS) Project, so the new system can be designed in accordance with academic policies and practices.
The goal of this committee is to:
- Advise Academic Senate on matters related to Student Information Systems
- Direct SIS to appropriate standing senate committees and processes
- Provide guidance and input to SIS on faculty needs and perspectives
- Review key aspects of the new system and their impact on faculty and academic policy
- Advise Senate on opportunities to leverage new SIS to better serve faculty interests
