Campus Logic - Financial Aid

To simplify the verification process for students, new links in Campus Solutions will take students to Campus Logic where they can log in to complete Verification and Appeal forms electronically. Links to Campus Logic will be called "Berkeley Financial Aid Forms" in CalCentral.

CA Enrollment Acknowledgement

To comply with new state legislation, functionality was added for students to view and acknowledge receipt of information about Cal Grant award limits and the units required to graduate within four years prior to course enrollment. Communications to students and student advisors with detailed information about the new requirement and process will go out prior to fall 2019 enrollment.

Financial Aid Profile Card Refactor

A refactor of the FA Profile card has made the following improvements:

  • Faster load time, improves sustainability and maintenance
  • Resolved issues with SHIP enrollment display
  • Incorporated term reference in labels (From “Fall” to “Fall 2018” for example)
  • Updated translate values for SAP and Verification to English
  • For UGRDs who enroll in a GRAD/LAW program in Spring, Career, Level reflect UGRD in Fall and GRAD or LAW in Spring
  • Updated and simplified access to FA Terms and Conditions and to TIV Authorization pages

Display P/NP to Undergraduate Students and Advisors

  • Advisors will be able to use the P/NP calculator on the Degree Progress Card on the My Academics page for a given student when leveraging the view-as student functionality.
  • The APR will surface whether an undergraduate student has satisfied the minimum number of letter-graded units needed to graduate.
  • Advisors will be able to use a query to identify students who are out of compliance well before they intend to graduate, allowing advisors to be proactive in their academic planning.

Enhancement to automate award aggregate handling from NSLDS (the National Student Loan Data System)

  • Federal loans received at another school for the same aid year can be rolled over to Peoplesoft award aggregate tables in batch, eliminating the need for staff to enter this information manually.
  • Federal loans disbursed at UC Berkeley and included twice in aggregate limits as a result of the aggregate push process will be removed, preventing underawarding of federal loans.

Updated Direct Deposit Link in CalCentral

The “Electronic Funds Transfer/EFT” label in CalCentral has been replaced with a new “Direct Deposit” label, located under the Resources section on the My Finances tab. When a student has not activated Direct Deposit, the student will see the "Enroll in Direct Deposit" link.
