Who is Eligible for Alumni Access?

The Alumni Homepage is designed for recent UC Berkeley graduates, including undergraduate, graduate (non-law), and former students who have either earned a degree or discontinued their studies. It serves as a seamless transition from CalCentral, ensuring temporary access to essential student services and information. This platform provides limited viewing and updating of student data, supporting alumni as they maintain access to critical resources beyond their time as active students.

Please note: Alumni Homepage access does not grant entry to other campus services.

This guide is for undergraduate and non-law graduate students that are alumni (i.e. earned a degree from UC Berkeley) or non-current students (i.e. withdrew or discontinued studies). It describes information available on the Alumni Homepage.

When will I gain access to the Alumni Homepage?

If you received an email from calnet-donotreply@berkeley.edu about your account entering the grace period, it is legitimate and not spam. Please follow the instructions provided, and visit Phishing Facts if you have concerns.

Access to the Alumni Homepage is granted automatically after the semester ends, transitioning your CalCentral view from an active student experience to alumni access. No further action is needed on your part.

Please note that some students may receive a temporary SIS-Extended affiliation during the grace period, allowing continued access to CalCentral. This is not common for all students and primarily supports access to CalCentral. You will not receive an email notification when this affiliation ends.

Can law students access the Alumni Homepage?

No, students who matriculated as law students at UC Berkeley, regardless of their prior status as undergraduate or graduate students, will continue to access services in CalCentral and will not have access to the Alumni Homepage.

How long will I have access to the Alumni Homepage?

You will have access to the Alumni Homepage for up to two years. However, access to other campus services may vary. For more information, please review CalNet Grace Periods.

Please note that there are no extensions, and you will not receive an email notification when access is set to expire.
